Summer Reading Kick-off Party!

Face painting, balloon animals, crafts and more!

Don't miss the kick-off party for our annual Summer Reading Club on Monday, June 26th at 2:00 pm! And stay to welcome Bash the Trash to Riverdale for the first time! Using musical instruments made from trash, this concert at 4:00 pm will be full of fabulous songs and science fun! Concert generously sponsored by the Riverdale Department of Public Works.

While the kick-off party is open to all ages, the concert is recommended for families and ages 4 and up. Let us know in the comments of your registration if you are interested in registering for both the party and the kick-off or one or the other. Thank you!

***Please note: by registering for this program, you are only registering for the day's activities and not the overall Summer Reading Club during which children who read throughout the summer are eligible for weekly prizes as well as the chance to win bigger raffle prizes. In order to participate in this aspect of Summer Reading, in-person registration is required and will begin Monday, June 26th at 10:00 am.***

Drop-in Tabletop City Building

Starting Thursday, June 29th, you can drop by the library to decorate a mini house using library supplies and recyclable material to populate a miniature paper town that will be displayed in the library all summer! Come by on Thursdays anytime between 4:00 and 5:00 pm until Thursday, August 3rd.

Open to all ages.

Tie Dye Makes it Better

Bring something white (an old t-shirt, socks, a bandana, etc.) and make it better with tie dye on Wednesday, July 5th at 4:00 pm! Sharpie markers will be provided.
