Radio Theater: Tales of Daring Adventure & Thrills

Thursday, August 20, 7 p.m.Presenting two half-hour radio dramas from the 1940's and 50's. To go along with our summer reading theme - "imagine your story", meet us online via Zoom and get swept up in these two thrilling adventure stories this summer evening.
The Most Dangerous Game (1943) features a big-game hunter who falls off a yacht and swims to what seems to be an abandoned and isolated island in the Caribbean, where he is hunted by a Russian aristocrat. Based on the short story by Richard Connell. Starring Orson Welles.

Then, listen to the exciting story about a pirate curse in The Treasure Chest of Don Jose (1952). Set in 1950's Cape Cod, treasure was left there many years earlier by the King of Pirates. The problem is that he and his descendants have been cursed. So, retrieving the buried chest turns out to be tricky for the pirate's great-grandson. Starring J. Carrol Nash.
