The major fundraising event of the year is the annual book sale, held in March at the Senior Community Center at 57 Loy Avenue in Riverdale. Every year the book sale has gotten bigger and bigger. Last year the Friends raised over $7,000!

Mark your calendar for the Friends of the Riverdale Public Library Annual Book Sale. The 2020 sale is scheduled for Friday, March 27, 4 - 8 p.m., Saturday, March 28, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. and Sunday, March 29, noon - 3 p.m. The sale takes place at the Riverdale Senior and Community Center, 57 Loy Avenue in Riverdale.

Donations of books, CD's and DVD's will be accepted at the library from Saturday, January 4 to Friday, March 9, 2020.

In addition, there is a small ongoing book sale with hardcover fiction on a cart near the library entrance. This is a great place to pick up stocking stuffers and beach reads.

Additional ways to support the Library:

  • With your donation, a book or item can be purchased to recognize a birthday or anniversary
  • With your donation, a new item can be purchased in memory of a loved one
  • Use the donation button on the right to support the library
  • And, of course, Join the Friends!
