Announcing a New DVD/CD Media Drop for the Convenience of Our Patrons
The Friends of the Riverdale Public Library have generously donated an outdoor DVD/CD Media Drop. You can now drop your movies off even though the library is closed. The new drop box sits next to our regular book drop.

Introduction to Genealogy - Thursday, May 7, 7:00 p.m.
Carolyn Dorsey, a librarian at The North Jersey History and Genealogy Center at the Morristown and Morris Township Public Library in Morristown, will present an introductory program discussing the basics of genealogy research, as well as how to use databases, internet resources and the special collections at the History Center to discover your family’s history.
Water Music: Use Fountains, Waterfalls and Ponds to Create an Oasis in Your Garden - Monday, June 1, 7:00 p.m.
We’ve all enjoyed nature’s serenity when we’ve encountered a rippling brook or waterfall while hiking or traveling, but where is that spot when we need it most? Use this presentation by Master Gardener Barbara Katz to help you re-create those serene moments in your yard or add a new dimension to your garden.
Paradise Gardens for Pollinators and Wildlife - Rescheduled to Wednesday, July 8, 7:00 p.m. Create a mini paradise in your back yard! Master Gardener Gail Di Domenico joins us to discuss how to attract butterflies,bees, dragonflies, hummingbirds and other wildlife to your garden,including plants that pollinators like and what those plants require to be successful in your garden.

Linda Anders is a lover of libraries and photography. She is a former Library Board Trustee, as well as one of the founding members of The Friends of the Riverdale Library. The photography club at the library was also started by Linda. Her daughter, Michelle Anders, began her love of photography with borrowing her mother's camera as a youngster.
Through this photo exhibit she will be raising money for the Friends of the Library. For each purchase of a framed photo, $10 will be donated to the Friends. The Anders Photography Exhibit runs through May 31, 2015.

iPad and Tablet Users Group
New to using a tablet? Bring your device and learn the basics in this monthly workshop for tablet users looking to increase their skills and share knowledge and experience. Learn how to access public Wi-Fi, change settings, set up email, and install and remove apps. Attend once, or as many sessions as you need. Meets the third Friday of each month, January through June, from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
