Announcing a New DVD/CD Media Drop for Patron Convenience
The Friends of the Riverdale Public Library have generously donated an outdoor DVD/CD Media Drop. You can now drop your movies off even though the lbrary is closed. The new drop box sits next to our regular book drop.

Spooky Stories, Snippets and Snacks – Friday, Oct. 24 at 1:00 p.m. or Wednesday, Oct. 29 at 7:00 p.m. The Riverdale Public Library staff will be serving up a Halloween treat. Therese McClachrie, a member of the New Jersey Storytellers Circle, will be telling tales of terror; Linda Vogel will help you decorate a treat basket of donut holes to take home; and Leann Lydon and Sabrina Steyling will be reading classic spooky poems. It’s a fun “ghouls” night out!
Choosing Your Next Great Read, Sat., Nov. 1 at 2:00 p.m. Love to read but not sure what to read next? Riverdale Reference Librarian Leann Lydon will give a brief presentation on tools you can use – both at home and here at the Library – to help you select your next great book!
Keep Up with Changes Affecting Your Health Care - Thursday, Nov. 6, 1:00 p.m. The health care law continues to change, and what will that mean for you? Learn what you need to make good decisions when renewing health care plans and comparing Medigap plans when Katherine Woodfield, MBA, health care consumer consultant and author of the book Don’t Buy THAT Health Insurance! returns to the Riverdale Public Library with helpful information for your decision-making. She'll also be discussing the new tax form you'll need to file concerning your health care choices for 2014.

A new audio book format is available at the library - the playaway. It's an audio book and player - one book per device, no other player needed. Just pop in your headphones and listen to a great book. Easy to operate with buttons to press for forward, rewind, etc. Current titles are: The Lace Reader, Smokescreen, The Lost Quilter, Days of Gold, Cream Puff Murder, Carrot Cake Murder, The Other Queen, The Comforts of a Muddy Saturday, The Laughter of Dead Kings, Handle with Care, The Lonely Polygamist.
